I got a pencil-style deburring tool for cleaning up the edges of cut ABS pipes, but realized that due to the swiveling nature of the deburring bit, this tool seems to be only for the inside edge of the pipe. Can it be used for deburring and chamfering the outside edge?
Is there an affordable hand held tool for chamfering pipes of different sizes?
Another option I saw in an Oatey instructional video was to use a chamfer router bit on a rotozip / rotary saw (1/4" shank). While I don't have a rotozip, I do have a rotary tool (Dremel clone) which takes 1/8" shank accessories. Would a 1/8" shank chamfer bit on a rotary tool do the job? Or a 1/4" shank chamfer bit in a drill?
Considering I don't often need to chamfer pipes, I don't want to spend too much on specialized tools for this task. Typically 2" pipe is what I would deal with but I have a project involving 4" pipe, and most common deburring tools (eg. the cone/cup style) don't go up to that size, so I'm looking for something versatile and hopefully inexpensive.
