At times I hear water drop sounds inside the diningroom wall closest to the kitchen when the kitchen faucet is running. Is there a pipe leak?

Half dining wall next to dish washer and dishwasher is next to sink. We do not use dishwasher. Water dropping sounds are not everytime faucet is running. All piping is pvc and is 17 years old.
